Ground Screws SEQ provides event ground screws across South East Queensland, offering adaptable footing solutions for temporary and event applications. Each solution is tailored to the individual site and project requirements, with benefits including:

  • Removable Footings: Screws can be removed once the event concludes.
  • Minimal Ground Disturbance: Less excavation to protect venue surfaces and grounds.
  • No Curing Time: No concrete required, so there is no curing period.
  • Wet Weather Installation: Installation can proceed in wet conditions.

Protecting Event Venues

Temporary and event applications often take place on grounds that need to be returned to their original condition, including parklands, sporting fields and private properties. Traditional concrete footings are rarely practical in these settings, as they require excavation, curing and eventual removal.

Ground screws offer a more considered approach. They are installed with minimal excavation, can be removed once the structure is no longer needed, and leave the site largely undisturbed. Removed screws may be reused, and the steel is recyclable. Each application is assessed against the site conditions and project requirements, with engineering input coordinated where a structure requires it.

FAQ

  • Can ground screws be removed after an event?

Yes. Ground screws can be removed once the temporary structure is no longer required, leaving the site largely undisturbed. Because there is no concrete to break out, very little remediation is needed after removal. Depending on their condition, removed screws may be reused, and the steel is recyclable at the end of its life. Removal requirements can be discussed and included in your project scope from the outset.

  • Will ground screws damage the event site?

Ground screws require minimal excavation, which significantly reduces disturbance to grass, sporting surfaces and landscaped areas. There is no concrete, no curing and very little spoil created during installation. Our handheld and hydraulic equipment can be selected to suit the site and minimise impact on surrounding areas. Any site sensitivities are identified during the assessment stage so the installation approach can be planned accordingly.

  • What types of temporary structures can ground screws support?

Ground screws can be adapted to a range of temporary and event applications, depending on the structure, its loads and the site conditions. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all product, we tailor each solution to the individual project requirements. Our range includes systems with different flange and fixing options, allowing a suitable connection to be selected for the structure. Share your event details through our online enquiry form and we will assess whether ground screws are the right fit.
