FAQ

  • Which ground screw series is right for my project?

The right series depends on the structure you're building, how it needs to be fixed, the loads involved and the ground conditions on site. For example, the U-Series suits timber bearers and decking, the FM-Series suits demountables and tie-down applications, and the FCA-Series is designed specifically for ground-mounted solar. Our site assessment and soil review help identify the most suitable system and size for your project. Your recommended product is then confirmed in your quotation and scope, so you know exactly what's being supplied.

  • Do your ground screws meet Australian Standards?

Yes. The ground screws we supply are designed and certified by Australian structural engineers to align with the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards, including AS 1170, AS 2159 and AS 4100. They are manufactured from grade C350 steel, which exceeds the relevant guidelines for designing to AS 4100. For structural applications, engineering sign-off is still required, and we coordinate Form 15/16 certification through our partner engineers where applicable. This gives builders, certifiers and property owners documented confidence in every installation.

  • Can ground screws be removed and reused?

Ground screws can be removed where a project requires it, making them well suited to temporary buildings, demountables and relocatable structures. Depending on their condition and the new application, removed screws may be reused on another site. At the end of their service life, the steel is recyclable, which supports a lower-impact approach than traditional concrete footings. We can discuss removal and reuse options during the quotation stage if they're relevant to your project.
